McSally STILL Scrambling to Rewrite Her Record While Trump Renews Health Care Attacks

Last week Senator McSally – who has voted repeatedly to repeal the Affordable Care Act, raise costs on Arizonans, and gut protections for pre-existing conditions – tried to lie about her health care record, telling a D.C. business group that “it’s not about repealing Obamacare in its entirety.” Days later, President Trump celebrated his administration’s efforts to sabotage the health care law and then renewed his promise to continue attacking it, saying: “we’re going for the rest of it.”

“While Senator McSally tries out some new talking points to try to cover up her record, Washington is still threatening to increase costs and gut health care protections for Arizonans. Senator McSally has shown that when it matters most, she won’t stand up to her own party leaders to keep costs from increasing on Arizona families and protect Arizonans with pre-existing conditions.” – Jacob Peters, Mark Kelly for Senate Spokesperson

McSally has repeatedly refused to oppose a lawsuit by the Trump administration that would overturn the entire Affordable Care Act. That would gut protections for 2.8 million Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, kick young Arizonans off their parents’ health insurance, allow insurance companies to reimpose lifetime caps on coverage, re-open the Medicare prescription drug “donut hole,” and eliminate the Medicaid expansion that has covered hundreds of thousands of Arizonans.
