Mark Kelly Expands TV Campaign to Yuma
“Entiende” and “Price Gouging” mark the first English and Spanish TV ads Mark Kelly for Senate has placed on Yuma airwaves this cycle.
Today, Mark Kelly for Senate began communicating directly with English and Spanish-language voters in Yuma. The ads “Entiende” and “Price Gouging,” originally released earlier this month in Phoenix and Tucson, highlight how Senator Kelly has worked to lower costs, support small businesses, and get our economy back on track.
Since taking office, Senator Kelly has delivered results for Yuma. He’s worked to address drought conditions in Arizona and secure investments toward critical water infrastructure projects. Senator Kelly also called for and chaired a congressional hearing to address western drought conditions after the Colorado river declared its first ever water shortage. Kelly also secured investments to upgrade Yuma’s port of entry through the bipartisan infrastructure law. In May, Mark Kelly for Senate hosted a roundtable discussion with local Yuma leaders on water infrastructure and the work Senator Kelly has done to protect Yuma’s water supply.
“When corporations take advantage of a crisis, that’s called price gouging. And it’s wrong,” said Senator Kelly in the ad. “I’m leading the fight to hold companies accountable, increase domestic oil production and cut the federal gas tax.”
“La verdad es que nuestras familias están sufriendo,” “Entiende” says in Spanish. “Y desde su primer día en el Senado, Mark Kelly ha luchado para que no tengamos que escoger entre llenar el tanque de gasolina o nuestros refrigeradores.”
The launch of Mark Kelly for Senate’s first tv ads in Yuma of the cycle cap off months of continued momentum for the campaign. Last quarter the campaign announced it had raised $13.6 million. Recently, the campaign also announced the formation of “Republicans for Kelly” and “Latinos for Kelly,” two coalitions made up of elected officials, business leaders, and community leaders united in their support for Senator Kelly. The campaign first began running Spanish-language TV ads in early July and has also placed Spanish-language ads in print and began running digital ads earlier this year. Mark Kelly for Senate is running a multi-language, multi-format voter outreach operation that will reach Arizonans of all political persuasions and in every corner of the state.
