Kelly: McSally’s Failing to Protect Arizonans from Rising Health Care Costs

Senator Martha McSally has failed a crucial test of leadership and independence, and as a result has failed to protect Arizonans from attacks on affordable health care. In a recent interview, responding to the Washington Republicans’ lawsuit that would tear down the health care law, cause health care costs to skyrocket, and gut protections for 2.8 million Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, McSally said simply, “that’s their decision.”

“That’s not standing up for Arizona. I can tell you one thing: it doesn’t matter what political party you’re from, if you try to raise health care costs on Arizona families and take away protections for those with pre-existing conditions, I’m not going to stand by and just watch it happen,” said Mark Kelly. “Arizonans expect an independent voice who is willing to take on anyone to defend and expand affordable health care for Arizona families.”
