In reaction to Mark Kelly’s winning debate performance, Mark Kelly for Senate Campaign Manager Emma Brown released the following statement:
“Tonight, Senator Kelly showed Arizonans that their stories and concerns matter and that he’s the independent voice they need fighting for Arizona in the Senate to lower costs, create jobs, and protect their rights.
“Over the last two years, Senator Kelly has traveled across Arizona, meeting with community leaders, elected officials, tribal councils, small-business owners, and law enforcement, listening to their priorities and getting to work on them in the Senate. He’s also changing the way Washington works: refusing corporate PAC money, publishing his Senate schedule, and pushing to ban stock trading in Congress.
“While Senator Kelly demonstrated how he is cutting through the noise to deliver results on the challenges facing Arizonans, Blake Masters tried and failed to run away from his own words on a total abortion ban even in the cases of rape or incest, privatizing Social Security, and insulting our military. No lies or dodges could disguise that on issue after issue, Blake Masters thinks that he knows better than Arizonans.
“After tonight, it’s never been more clear why Arizonans must reject Blake Masters’ dangerous ideas and instead re-elect Senator Kelly, who they can trust to always be on Arizona’s side – no matter what.”
