Mark Kelly for Senate Releases New TV Ad “Arizona’s Side”

October 6, 2022

Ahead of tonight’s debate, Mark Kelly for Senate released a new television ad, “Arizona’s Side.” In this new spot, Kelly speaks directly to Arizonans about his commitment to being an independent voice for Arizona and standing up to both parties to deliver results.

Repeatedly ranked one of the most moderate, bipartisan members of the Senate, Kelly has established himself as someone who will always put Arizona first. As the son of two cops, Kelly has stood up to his own party when they want to defund the police or lift border restrictions without a plan. Kelly has also fought back against Republican efforts to ban abortion nationally because, unlike his opponent Blake Masters, he believes women should have the right to make their own decisions, including the right to an abortion.

“I’m closing gaps in the border wall, said no to raising taxes on middle class families, and fought to end corrupt stock trading in congress. And when Joe Biden gets it wrong, I call him out.” Senator Kelly says in the ad. “Because when you boil it down, I’m on Arizona’s side. No matter what.”

[Senator Kelly] In Washington, they’re always trying to label you.

You’re either this or you’re that.

But me, I stand up to the left when they want to defund the police.

And I stand up to the right when they want a national abortion ban.

I’m closing gaps in the border wall, said no to raising taxes on middle class families, and fought to end corrupt stock trading in congress.

And when Joe Biden gets it wrong, I call him out.

Because when you boil it down, I’m on Arizona’s side. No matter what.

I’m Mark Kelly and I approve this message.

Mark Kelly for Senate began communicating with Arizonans on television in February, with its first spot discussing the impact of rising costs. Since then, the campaign has also begun communicating with voters in Spanish and Diné, on TV, radio, and digital platforms. The campaign has also run a statewide digital persuasion program in both English and Spanish. Mark Kelly for Senate also launched “Latinos for Kelly,” a coalition of over 100 Latino leaders backing Kelly and “Republicans for Kelly,” a group of nearly 50 Arizona Republican and Independent leaders coming together to support his re-election.
