No matter how much Blake Masters lies about Senator Kelly’s record and work to make the border more secure, orderly, and humane, Arizonans know the truth: Senator Kelly has spent his time in the Senate working with border town leaders, law enforcement agencies, and border security officials to deliver resources and results – even when it means standing up to his own party.
Kelly has traveled to Arizona’s southern border seven times since he took office in December 2020 – meeting with border mayors, community leaders, and law enforcement.
He delivered more than $1 billion for key priorities such as funding for hiring and retaining more border patrol agents and hundreds of millions in technology to help secure the border.
After nearly a year of pushing Washington and the administration, the Senator announced that the Department of Homeland Security would move forward with closing border barrier gaps near Yuma.
When President Biden attempted to lift Title 42 without a plan in place, Senator Kelly stood up to the Administration and introduced bipartisan legislation to stop it.
Kelly also introduced bipartisan legislation to require DHS to come up with a plan to deal with increased migration, as well as a bill to increase the size of border patrol and raise the pay for officers.
Arizonans can always count on Senator Kelly to put Arizona first and do what’s needed for common-sense solutions to the challenges at our border.
