In case you missed it, on Friday – following the recent launch of “Latinos for Kelly” and the campaign’s announcement it raised a whopping $13.6 million in the second quarter of 2022 – Mark Kelly for Senate announced the launch of “Republicans for Kelly,” a group of nearly 50 Republican and Independent business owners, community leaders and elected officials across Arizona who are backing Kelly’s reelection this cycle.
In their endorsements, these Arizonans praised Kelly’s willingness to work with anyone, regardless of political party, to bring good-paying jobs to the state, lower costs, and make Washington work for Arizona, not corporations. The “Republicans for Kelly” launch signifies the growing and diverse coalition of Arizonans who are generating strong momentum for Kelly’s campaign.
On the Senator’s work with local elected officials:
…Mesa Mayor John Giles, a Republican, said he is backing Kelly because of the access the senator has afforded him and because of the infrastructure legislation.
“Sometimes we are chasing our representatives in D.C. to get their help and it’s been the opposite experience,” Giles said in an interview. “Senator Kelly has reached out to me and to other local elected officials and asked what he can do to help, particularly on issues like the bipartisan infrastructure bill.” […]

Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona announced support from multiple Republican mayors and business owners ahead of an election that could tilt the balance of power in November.
